Parkies leaders out to leave legacy

Leading school in the right direction

Florida Park High School’s Representative Council of Learners’ Disciplinary Committee of 2017 has been hard at work.

They have been organising fun activities for the Grade 8 learners to get to know their new school and each other.

The seven-member team consists of presidents Anelisa Petela and Jaimie-Lee Buitendach, deputy presidents Esethu Tsoanyane and Lerato Mabe, treasurer Precious Dube, public relations officer Kutlwano Setlhapelo and secretary Hlengiwe Khumalo.

The team is not only tasked with hosting fun activities for their fellow learners, they also need to set a positive example and help to make the teachers’ jobs easier, especially when it comes to unforeseen changes in the school’s schedule.

However, this year’s RCL DC plans to leave a lasting legacy and aims to do so by shaking things up in the school in a positive way, as they feel their predecessors have been too comfortable in reverting to school activities that are tried and trusted.
