Man dies, woman and child critically injured in collision
The second occupant of this vehicle sustained minor injuries.
One man died and another sustained minor injuries in a collision between two cars on the N1 north at the Maraisburg offramp this past Saturday (10 December). A woman and a child were critically injured in the collision.
ER24 paramedics attended to the incident and found a man trapped in one of the vehicles. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead. The second occupant of this vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The woman and the female child believed to be between three and four years old travelling in the second vehicle were assessed and treated for their injuries.
They and the man who sustained minor injuries were transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
