National Noodle Ring Day

Have some noodle ring pasta on #NationalNoodleRingDay

11 December is National Noodle Ring Day and is celebrated annually.

This might be about the little round pasta noodles that make up a delicious pasta salad or a number of other pasta dishes, or that kids (of all ages) love to use for different craft projects – including gluing them together to make snowflakes – perfect for this time of year.

However, a noodle ring – which has a lot of fans across the country – is actually a popular pasta dish. This dish is created in an eight or nine inch ring mould with the main ingredients typically being noodles, flour, bread crumbs, cheese and eggs. When baked, the noodle ring is removed from the mould onto a plate which gives it a high rating in appearance as well as taste.

To celebrate, try your skills at making a noodle ring. Search through your recipe books – or online – for a new and adventurous recipe to try.
