National Bathtub Party Day

Take some time to enjoy a leisurely bath on #NationalBathtubPartyDay

5 December is National Bathtub Party Day – a day created to skip the everyday shower and enjoy the luxury of a good soak in the tub.

With the busy lives we lead these days, it is not always possible to simply take the time to enjoy a leisurely bath. But, soaking in a hot bath is an excellent way to unwind and relax after a long, hard day. It can also help the body to heal itself if it is suffering from stress or skin conditions such as dry or flaky skin.

Bathing was seen as a social occasion in ancient Roman times and special bathing parties were a regular occurrence. By participating in these bathing parties, people were allowed to bond while they discussed business or catching up on the latest gossip.

To celebrate National Bathtub Party Day is simple – indulge in a long, relaxing soak in the tub. Draw yourself a warm bath, grab your favourite bath bomb or essential oils, turn off your phone and enjoy the soothing feeling of the warm water on your skin. You could also take your book and a glass of wine with you to assist in washing your worries away.
