The time has finally arrived for the Record team to bring the Ol’ Toppie Project to a close. The project has been going strong for the last two months and has seen the Record‘s offices inundated with gift bags upon gift bags.
The project, which is geared towards men, saw the community going all out and donating gift bags, which included a facecloth, soap, earbuds, a razor blade and disposable razors, toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant.
With the assistance of the community, Dorcas Aid and various motorcycle and sports clubs, 127 gift bags have been donated.
The gift bags will now be delivered to various old age homes such as Tornado, Donovan McDonald and Ebenaezer to spoil the ol’ toppies and bring a smile to their faces.
