Last chance to spoil Roodepoort’s ol’ toppies

Ol' Toppie Project to wrap up this Friday.

There are just two more days until the Ol’ Toppie Project draws to a close. The project, which has been going strong for the last two months, has seen the Record‘s offices inundated with gift bags upon gift bags.

The project, which is geared towards men, will see the gift bags donated by the community delivered to ol’ toppies in various old age homes in Roodepoort. Working with Dorcas Aid and various motorcycle and sports clubs, 115 gift bags have been donated.

The community, however, can still make a difference in the lives of those who need it most by supporting the project and making up a small gift bag. The bag should contain a facecloth, soap, earbuds, a razor blade and disposable razors, toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant. The gift bag can be delivered to the Record’s offices at the corner of Ham Street and Generaal Pienaar Avenue.

No cash will be accepted.
