Author donates hundreds of books to school

Local author Raphael Ogbuagu has donated a number of books to Princess High School’s library, on behalf of the Neo-black movement of Africa, of which he is a former South African leader. The movement is a pan-black movement formed in Nigeria in 1977 at the University of Benin to fight social injustice. It now has branches across the world. Raphael is still involved with the movement and currently heads its Educational Committee. He has worked with Princess High on numerous occasions, such as the City of Johannesburg’s Poetry and Debate competitions

“The movement believes that by supporting education, the youth can be useful and contribute towards meaningful growth of every nation,” said Raphael.

The author is also looking to give motivational talks to the pupils on the importance of education and career choices. He is suitable for this role as he is not only an author and publisher of four books but also a philanthropist.
