A glitzy affair at Florries

It was a glitzy, glamorous affair at Hoërskool Florida as the school hosted its annual Mr and Ms Florida pageant on 4 May.

The event proved why big names in the pageant world, such as Miss SA First Princess Tayla Sky Robinson, Miss Teen World 2016 Cilene Swanepoel and Miss RSA (Roll Model SA) Temieke Streicher all hail from the same school.

Ivan Chapman was crowned Mr Matric while Ms Matric went to Genive Trimble.

Ruben Lombard is this year’s Senior Mr Florida while the first and second princes’ titles went to Phill Farmer and Roan Gonsalves respectively.

In the Senior Ms Florida category, Bernelee J van Rensburg was declared the fairest of them all as she won the crown, followed by first princess Nicole Fourie and second princess Abigail Grove.

Not to be outdone by the seniors, the juniors went all out to impress the judges and entertain the crowd.

In the Junior Mr Florida category, Keanan Cneut was crowned the winner of the night. The first prince crown went to Michael Deale and Jonathan Fields was the second prince.

In the Junior Ms Florida category, Taylor Greeff walked away with the title while second princess went to Danelle Delport and third princess to Luche Bedeker.
