Judokas excel at Commonwealth Champs

Tazmin Rossouw and Ferdinand van den Heever are proud to be medal winners when they participated in the Common Wealth Championships in Port Elizabeth.

The pupils who are both from Hoërskool Bastion qualified for the international event when they participated in the National Championships and trials in Durban earlier this year.

Tazmin, who trains at Doryoku Judo Academy won a silver medal in the U/18 age group for the under 63-kilogram weight division.

She also received her national colours for representing South Africa.

Ferdinand who trains at KJK-Katja Judo Club came home with a bronze medal in the U/15 age group and was awarded JSA colours.
