Two accidents in one day at same spot

Two collisions occurred at the same spot in Witpoortjie yesterday.

The first one happened at around 7am at the infamous intersection of Ham Street and Generaal Pienaar Avenue when a bakkie and car collided.

The second accident took place at around 4.45pm. According to Athlenda Mathe of Netcare 911 a woman sustained minor injuries when two vehicles collided. Paramedics treated her on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

Police will investigate both accidents and comment at a later stage.

The community has called on the authorities numerous times in the past to attend to this high-accident zone, but to no avail.
