City Parks invites corporates to #EarthDay

City Parks looking for corporate volunteers and partnerships for this year's Earth Day.

City Parks is following the global movement of making April Earth Month and celebrating Earth Day on 22 April, and wants businesses to join them.

According to a recent press release, the first Earth Day was held in 1970 and gave voice to an emerging consciousness, channelling human energy toward environmental issues globally.

This year, City Parks would like to invite businesses and corporates to join in the fun by partnering with them. The opportunity arises to help keep Johannesburg’s parks beautiful while enjoying a unique team building opportunity for staff.

“We coordinate customised projects for groups of any size in community parks,” entity spokesperson Jenny Moodley in a press statement said.

Activities can include planting flowers, painting playground equipment, cleaning, grass laying and much more, she said.

“We are happy to tailor project location, tasks and schedules to best fit your team’s preferences and goals.”

The three key concepts here are service, teamwork and community. You and your staff can brighten up a local playground, have an opportunity to work together and build camaraderie and impact the community.
