Identikits of suspected armed robbers released

Three men suspected of being involved in an armed robbery in February identified.

The Krugersdorp Police are urging Roodepoort at large to assist in gathering information on three suspected armed robbers.

According to Krugersdorp Cluster spokesperson Appel Ernst, the men were allegedly involved in an armed robbery in Breaunanda on 8 February. The victims were robbed of their money and cell phones.

“The investigating officer was able to compile three identikits with the assistance of one of the victims,” Ernst in a press statement said.

The first suspect is approximately 1.72m tall and of medium build, suspected to be between 25 and 30 years old. He has achne and was wearing a plaster on his neck at the time of the incident. The man has high cheekbones and deep set eyes and was wearing a black T-shirt with white graphics and a denim jean. His hair is short and dark and he was speaking English, Tswana and Zulu during the robbery. He was armed with a pick and a bread knife.

The second suspect is a male in his 20s, approximately 1.75m tall and slender. He was wearing a dark, striped shirt and a denim jean at the time of the incident. He was also armed with a pick and spoke English during the robbery. He is bald and appeared to be the leader of the gang.

The third suspect is a man in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 1.85m tall and slender. He was wearing a grey, striped shirt and a denim jean at the time of the incident. He was armed with a steak knife and spoke English. He is bald.

The suspects fled the scene in a Silver Polo of which the registration is unknown.
