The local Vespa club, Chicken Runners are hosting three more fund raisers that will benefit nature conservation.
This coming Sunday they will enter into a ‘potjiekos’-competition at Fat Cats Restaurant in Barret Street. A plate of food will cost R20 and all profits will go towards the South African National Parks’ (SANParks) Honorary Rangers (HR).
Next Sunday they will be hosting a bowling competition at Discovery Bowling Club. Entry fee is R150 per person and entries close tomorrow (5 March). The event will start at 11.30am. For banking details and more information contact Dewald Muller on 084 555 1503.
Residents also stand a chance to win a restored classic Vespa. There will only be 400 tickets available at R200 a ticket. More details to follow.
