You’ll soon be swimming with the (neon) fishes

The Re-creation of Recreation event planned for Human Rights weekend at Florida Lake is getting even more colourful with the Neon Swim event, the first of its kind in Africa.

This is a one-of-a-kind event for swimmers, the Florida Lake Users Forum (Fluff) said in a recent press statement.

“The Neon Swim has a twist, everything is happening at night, lit up only by bright, neon, glow-in-the-dark accessories.”

Initiative to take back the lake

Swimmers can even come create their own neon T-shirts on Saturday. The event is geared to bring people together for a great experience and recreate the good vibes of old at Florida Lake.

The Neon Swim will be held on Saturday afternoon 19 March starting from 4pm, when registration will commence. The first race will be at 7pm.

Tickets can be purchased via the event on Facebook (The Neon Swim), NuTickets or at the door. Note that tickets will be limited.
