My wish for you this year

This is my prayer for all those ungodly, odious, despicable hooligans who live in Hendrik Boom and Proot streets.

May you and your family experience the intense fear, shock, distress, anxiety, pain and suffering you caused the animals both on land and in the air with those crackers and bombs you set off from 4pm on 31 December (yet New Year is to be celebrated? Duh!) until 9pm on 1 January. Way after the New Year had seen daylight.

When civilized residents from yesteryear welcomed the New Year in, it was at 00:00 and it was with fireworks (not crackers) that lit the sky with beautiful colours and it lasted until, at the utmost 00:05.
