Flaunt that ugly sweater

If you've got it, flaunt it.

If you have an important interview or meeting to attend this morning, then tough luck because today you are encouraged to wear your ugliest Christmas sweater – if you own one.

Whether you received it for a gift or it was crochet by your grandma and you swore never to wear it, now is the time to strut your stuff.

National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day is about proudly sporting your favorite ugly Christmas sweater for the entire day…regardless of circumstances.

It is also celebrated annually as a fundraising event in aid of Save the Children. In schools, colleges and offices Christmas jumpers across the world are worn to raise money for them. This is a global charity that works to combat premature death among children from easily preventable diseases such as diarrhea, malaria and pneumonia.

So, if you haven’t taken leave yet, wear an ugly Christmas sweater to work.
