What to do when you don’t celebrate Christmas

Because not everybody celebrates Christmas.

Although Christmas is a day where families get together, not many people celebrate it.

If you are someone who does not celebrate this day, there is no need for you to stay home and be bored.

Most shops are closed on this day and you might also find there is nothing interesting on television.

However, there are other things you can do on this day and they are:

• Most Chinese restaurants are open on Christmas day so if you enjoy sushi or Thai food, treat yourself to it.

• Use Christmas as a catch-up day. Catch-up on your favourite tv series or read a book.

• Get organized. Do some spring cleaning, file your work, get rid of old magazines or collect your tax receipts in a box.

• Volunteer. Look up local shelters or soup kitchens online and call the day before to see if they can use some help.

• Go to the movies. Most cinemas are open on this day. See what movies are being displayed on that day and take your children or friends with you.
