Crowned for beauty and goodwill

The most beautiful and involved girls and women competed for the coveted Miss Nature Conservation 2015 title.

During an extravagant affair at the Discovery Community Hall, girls who not only were beautiful but also had a love for nature on their side competed for the coveted Miss Nature Conservation title.

Held on Saturday night 14 November, Miss Nature Conservation South Africa 2015 was a pageant in which the most beautiful, most caring girls and women from surrounding areas competed. Before the actual pageant night, these girls and women underwent training in different aspects of nature conservation and undertook various community projects to show their worth.

Organiser and MNCSA founder Stephan Myburgh said it was an honour to find suitable candidates for the competition and see them through the various aspects thereof. The Record formed part of the judging panel and could also elect one of the girls as the Editor’s Choice. Jaydene Edwards, according to the Record, is the epitome of a caring, community-driven citizen, having dedicated a lot of her spare time to volunteer work at the Roodepoort SPCA prior to the pageant itself. She was thus a suitable recipient of the Editor’s Choice title.

It was a long night, but the girls stunned in their casual and evening wear and wowed the judges with their answers to a list of questions related to nature conservation. In the end each one left with a suitable title.
