Alleged criminals busted with drugs
Florida Police found a vehicle previously reported as suspicious and decided to search it.
A vehicle that was previously the subject of a lookout warning was searched and drugs were found last week.
On Wednesday 4 November members of Florida Police were patrolling around Maraisburg when they spotted a blue Volkswagen Citi Golf, matching the description of a suspicious vehicle reported previously.
“The vehicle was similar to an alleged suspicious vehicle with occupants involved in criminal activities reported to us a while back,” Florida Police spokesperson Mpho More said.
The vehicle had three male occupants. The police proceeded to motion them to pull over near Du Plessis Street and requested to conduct a search.
“They noticed that one of the men had something in his hand; they checked and found it to be a white powder suspected to be drugs,” More said.
The suspect, 20, was arrested for possession of drugs and detained at the Roodepoort Police Station. He appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court soon thereafter.
