Discovery Primary School’s Thandolwethu Ndlela finally got her hands on the spell-a-thon trophy she won last month (4 September).
The grade 3 pupil received the Gauteng provincial trophy after she impressed with a 100 per cent at the event.
The competition which had 13 school from the district was hosted at Arthur Mathews Primary for the first time this year.
“Participating in the competition was fun. The words were not too difficult for me and I enjoyed myself. My favourite word is spelling and when I grow up I want to be a doctor,” she said.
