Holy day for Hindus

Navrati is regarded as very holy in the Hindu faith.

All Hindus across the world will celebrate the festival known as Navratri today.

On this day they will celebrate by dedicating to the worship of their deity Durga over a period of nine days..

The word Navratri means ‘nine nights’ and is regarded as an important major festival.

Hindus are expeced to fast for nine days and worship the idols of the godess.

Gujarati men and women also perform traditional dances called Garba raas and Dandiya raas on this day.

We would like to wish our Hindu readers well over this day.
