Hoshana Rabbah

This day is important on the Jewish calendar.

Today people of the Jewish faith will celebrate Hoshana Rabbah with a special synagogue service.

Hoshana Rabba is marked as the seventh day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot (a Jewish festival held in the Autumn) and is considered important on the Jewish calendar.

A web site states Jews believe God makes up His mind about a person’s fate during the coming year and seals the decree on Yom Kippur.

However, they also believe the decree is not delivered until Hoshana Rabbah.

Tonight all Jews are expected to recite Tehillim (the Book of Psalms) and to read Sefer Devarim (the Book of Deuteronomy).

Sometimes Jewish men would stay up the entire night engaged in religious study.

We would like to wish our Jewish readers well for today.
