Rufus was found in good condition by his owners last night.
Angeline Gouws, Rufus’ owner said her daughter asked children playing in the street if they saw a small dog.
They referred her to a house in the same street who according to the children, has “lots of dogs.”
They showed her where the house is and when she asked the owners of the house if they saw Rufus, she found they had picked him up while he was wandering the streets on Saturday night.
Gouws said the residents took good care of Rufus.
“Our hearts are so happy to know he is safe. We are glad we found him in good condition,” she said.
