Thus far residents should be spared load shedding tonight if the grid is not too heavily-laden by tonight, Monday 17 August.
According to Eskom on twitter this morning, “the probability of load shedding today is low for this morning and medium for the evening”.

According to the official City Power load shedding schedule and Grid Watch, Block 3B (Roodepoort and surrounds) should be spared load shedding at Stage 1 today but will be affected should Stage 2 or 3 be implemented from 4pm til 8.30pm tonight.
Block 7B (Florida and surrounds) will not be touched by load shedding at Stage 1 or 2 today but will be switched off if Stage 3 is implemented from 4pm til 8.30pm.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 18 August, Block 3B is scheduled for load shedding regardless at which stage from 8am til 12.30pm. Block 7B will be spared load shedding at Stage 1 but suffers the same fate should any other stage be implemented.
