Up to 9 hours without electricity today

Eskom's 9am tweet this morning stated the probability of load shedding this evening is high, which thus far this week has meant nighttime load shedding.

Although load shedding today (Thursday 23 July) has not been confirmed, residents might face up to nine hours without electricity.

Eskom’s 9am tweet this morning stated the probability of load shedding this evening is high, which thus far this week has meant evening load shedding nationally.

Block 3B (Roodepoort and surrounds) will be load shed should Stage 1 be implemented from 4pm til 8.30pm tonight (Thursday 23 July).

Should Stage 2 be implemented, residents face a double time slot, from 4pm til 8.30pm and from midnight til 4.30am tomorrow (Friday 24 July).

The same double time slot applies should Stage 3 be implemented.

Block 7B (Florida and surrounds) will not be affected at Stage 1.

Should Stage 2 be implemented, power will be off between 4pm and 8.30pm.

Should Stage 3 be implemented, residents will face nine hours without power between 4pm and 8.30pm as well as midnight and 4.30am.
