Update: Hit and run suspect arrested

Both the victim's legs broken.

The suspect who fled the scene after he ran over a woman following a road rage incident, has been arrested.

The suspect who hails from Edenvale went to open a case of assault at about 2.30pm yesterday, but when the police saw his registration number on the system and that a warrant for his arrest was out, promptly arrested the man. He has been transferred to Roodepoort Police Station.

A close member of the family told the Record both the woman’s legs were broken instead of one as was initially suspected. The woman is currently in Krugersdorp Private Hospital and will have to have steel pins inserted into her legs. According to the family member it is uncertain whether she has been operated on yet.
