Your mid-week load shedding guide
Residents should be able to avoid load shedding mid-week, if the grid remains stable.
If the grid remains stable mid-week, Roodepoort and Florida residents should be able to avoid load shedding.
On Wednesday 8 July, load shedding in both Block 3B (mostly Roodepoort) and Block 7B (mostly Florida) will only happen if Eskom implements Stage 3. Block 3B will then be load shed from 6am til 10.30am and Block 7B will have two time slots, from 2am til 6.30am and 6am til 10.30am.
On Thursday 9 July neither areas will be affected at Stage 1, but should Stage 2 be implemented Block 3B will be affected from 6am til 10.30am. Should Stage 3 be implemented, both areas will be load shed from 6am til 10.30am with Block 3B getting a second time slot from 10pm til 2.30am.
