Local wrestler in a royal rumble

Professional wrestler Nathan Govender, known as Ultimate Nathan to his fans has been using social media to get the attention of wrestling fans in South Africa.

Nathan started #letUNfight movement which has been trending.

He wants to put pressure on WWP (World Wrestling Professionals) owner Mark Beale to allow him the opportunity to participate in Wrestle Monster event this month.

The wrestling showcase will take place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth and is the biggest wrestling extravaganza of the year. Nathan wants to participate in a Royal Rumble match.

“The movement has been trending especially in the independent wrestling circuits. This is the biggest event in wrestling and having the honour of being in the ring on such a night will be amazing,” said Nathan.

Late last year, Ultimate Nathan had become the youngest African Punishment Wrestling Association (APWA) tag team champion at 17-years-old with his partner The Flying Dutchman, who unfortunately had to retire a few months ago due to a knee injury.

It was then up to Nathan to carry both belts and he did so successfully for 167 days.

At Wrestle Monster, Nathan will be rubbing shoulders with elite wrestlers such as WWE’s Justin Gabriel and Brodus Clay as well as local wrestlers The Renegade, Super X and Xterminator.
