Another shooting on Ontdekkers?
Residents of Horizon Park and Horizon View have been reporting hearing a second shooting on Ontdekkers Road in the early hours this morning (27 April).
On facebook they have been reporting hearing four gun shots at the intersection of Crane Avenue (which turns into Sonop Street after the intersection) and Ontdekkers Road. This is right in front of Village @ Horizon, where last year the Record reported a series of incidents of taxi violence given the makeshift taxi rank opposite the shopping center.
On Friday night 24 April two hijackers were shot dead on Ontdekkers Road at the same Crane Avenue intersection. Read the article here.
Roodepoort Police could not yet be reached to confirm the incident.
