Call out to all skateboarders

Make Them Awesome, a registered skills and development non-profit organisation (NPO)is calling on all skaters in the Roodepoort area.

The NPO is planning to host a skate tournament called Freedom Skate Cup on 21 March.

The competition aims to develop the skills of local skaters.

Last year, the NPO successfully launched the competition last year.

Make The Awesome wants to showcase skating as an upcoming and increasingly popular sport, to promote entrepreneurship and increase social cohesion in Roodepoort.

This year the event will be held at the Onktdekkers Astro and Sports Center on the corner of Park and Alexander Street in Florida.
