Bullied on the first day of school
According to a father's facebook post his son was assaulted on the first day of school.
Photos of the son, 15, that is in Grade 8 in a school in Mindalore were posted at 8pm on Monday night 12 January. The photos show how his lip is bleeding heavily.
It is unclear how late the incident happened but talking to the record, the father was adamant that it had nothing to do with the school.
“The fight happened outside our apartment block,” the father in a press statement said.
“It was all about a girl,” he said but would not elaborate.
It is believed that the boy who assaulted him as well as the girl implicated in the fight both attend a high school in Florida.
“My child is in high school but this boy looks like a man,” the father said about the boy who assaulted his son.
The father turned to a facebook group for advice, asking in a post whether he should open an assault case with the Roodepoort police.
An overwhelming amount of people responded positively while others wanted to hear more details. More than 150 comments were already made on the facebookpost by 2.20 pm today (14 January).
The majority of people that commented, said that should a case relating to the incident not be opened, there would be no consequences for the boy who assaulted his son and nothing will stop him from hurting others.
The father has not confirmed that he has opened a case of assault yet.
