A woman, 22, was arrested last weekend for being in possession of drugs.
While on patrol duty in Florida police spotted a dark grey VW Polo with two occupants parked next to a house in Boundary Street. A foreign national who was standing at the front passenger window dashed the minute he saw them, Florida Police spokesperson Lydia Dikolomela says in a statement.
The police approached the occupants of the vehicle and asked the woman to show them what she had received from the foreign national.
After resisting at first, the suspect handed the officers a transparent Ziplock plastic bag containing a white substance suspected to be drugs.
“The suspect was arrested and detained in the police cells,” Dikolomela later said.
Her court date is not yet known to the record.
