Rhino supported at local fun day

Local rhino activist was well supported at a recent community fun day.

Local rhino activist Francois Myburgh (24) was well supported at a community fun day on Saturday, 27 September.

At the West Rand Pet and Bird Farm Carnival residents had the opportunity to market their causes and to support one another. There were all sorts of fun activities at the carnival. Singer Ashley Bouwer entertained the crowd and children enjoyed jumping castles and the new Jungle Nook Zoo.

At Myburgh’s stall various items were for sale and prizes were up for grabs. Raffle tickets for a large hamper also were sold. 30 per cent of the proceeds from his stall will go towards his 100km Rhino Walk fund, which will be given to the Kruger National Park and Care For Wild.

Myburgh and other supporters will embark on the 100km Rhino Walk between 4 and 7 November. For more information contact Francois Myburgh on 084 359 9968.
