Keet returns to training

Bafana goalkeeper back after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Bafana Bafana shot stopper Darren Keet has returned to training with his Belgium top flight club a mere two months after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The KV Kortrijk goalkeeper underwent surgery to repair an injury to his shoulder back in April that forced him to end his season prematurely.

The 24-year-old, who earned his first cap for South Africa in a friendly against Zimbabwe last year, announced via his official instagram page on Sunday that he was going to take part in his first training session post operation.

“First training of the season today, feeling good and ready,” he wrote on his page. “It’s been a long eight weeks recovery. The season starts now!”

Keet could be back in time for Kortrijk’s season opener against Zulte-Waregem on July 26.
