If you are reading this right now, it means that you have fallen victim to my quick-clicks scheme; my attempt to gain hits for my website so that hopefully I make some cash.

I’m not serious of course, and the headline was just an experiment.

What I am ranting about though is the ever-increasing bogus stories/ videos that litter my social media platforms. This happens mainly because my contacts think that the headline might be true and don’t mind sharing the fictional click driver to myself and other unfortunate contacts just to find out.

I firmly believe that curiosity is a healthy characteristic, but being gullible might just get you killed.

In today’s day and age, nothing seems impossible – even the thought of a half-fish, half-human (mermaid) found in a shark’s belly.

But I think the human race has put too much trust in social media – foolishly consuming everything available online as fact while ranting about how negative and fictional the media is.

Here’s a fact for everyone to chew on: if you didn’t read it in the press, chances are that it’s bogus. Do you really think if a mermaid was found that you won’t see it on the news or in the press? C’mon, check your facts before sharing something. You are spreading lies and creating a fictional reality for a lot of gullible people.
