Man crashes bike following heart attack
The patient was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment when he was stable.
A man fell off his motorcycle after suffering an apparent heart attack on Wednesday afternoon 16 April.
He is in a critical but stable condition, said ER 24 spokesperson Russell Meiring.
“ER 24 paramedics responded to the Westlake Road and Captain street intersection to find the biker lying on the side of the road.
“The biker suffered minimal injuries from the fall but showed no signs of life when assessed by paramedics.
“Paramedics had to administer CPR and advanced life support was performed on the patient for fifteen minutes before his pulse was restored.”
The patient was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment when he was stable, Meiring said.
