Biker (49) in critical condition after collision
It would appear that the biker lost control of his motorcycle following a collision.
After a car had collided with a motorcycle, a man (49) was left in critical condition on Tuesday 15 April.
ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring shed some light on their findings on Tuesday afternoon. It would appear that the biker lost control of his motorcycle following the collision at the intersection of Christiaan de Wet and Hendrik Potgieter Roads. A motorist was assisting the man when paramedics arrived on scene.
“Paramedics discovered that the patient had sustained a suspected fracture of his upper leg [sic].
“He also sustained soft tissue injuries to the rest of his body. He required advance life support treatment,” Meiring said.
“After he was treated and immobilised on a spine board, the patient was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.”
Exact detail to the cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.
