Police believe that the vehicle was involved in two cases of armed robbery.

Four men were arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle in Matholesville on Thursday 27 March, Roodepoort Police spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo confirmed on Friday 28 March.

Police officers were performing their duties in Matholesville on Thursday afternoon when they came across a suspicious vehicle and decided to investigate and searched the silver VW Polo Vivo. “The men were taken to the Roodepoort Police Station for further questioning,” Khumalo told the Record.

“We later confirmed that the vehicle also was involved in two armed robbery cases.”
