Bookkeeper of Sparrow Rainbow Village, Rushfieda Brown would like to extend an invitation to residents to join them for their annual sports and fun day this March.

On 29 March, Brown was happy to announce, the fun day will commence at Cecil Payne Stadium at 10 am. Activities might carry on til around 5 pm.

“The goal of this day is to raise funds and collect food for the Sparrow Rainbow Village,” Brown said.

“Although we are not charging a monetary entrance fee we would really like each person attending the activities on the day to bring two cans of non-perishable food with them, that we will collect at the gate.”

On the day stalls will be available in a flea-market setup, refreshing cold drinks and food will be sold. Stalls are still available to be booked at R150 per stall. Of course, being the essence of the day, all sorts of fun activities are planned. Sports including softball, baseball, soccer and all sorts of fun races will be played. The Saps will also be doing demonstrations and have a display throughout the day. This year again some local artists, including SK, Lungelo, Sizwe Ngema and Toyoter are providing extra entertainment on the day.

For more information or to book a table, contact Rushfieda or Patricia on 071 140 3457 or 073 870 9999.
