Pedestrian dies on Christiaan de Wet

A pedestrian sadly passed away after being knocked over by a vehicle on the evening of Sunday 4 August.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann, the man was knocked over on Christiaan de Wet Road.

“Upon [the paramedics’] arrival on scene they found that a man tragically died after he had been knocked over by a vehicle.

“The motorist involved sustained serious injuries.”

According to Steinmann the motorist was treated on scene where after he was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical assistance.

“The exact details to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation,” Steinmann told the Record.
