WATCH: BMW hijacked outside a residence in Allen’s Nek

The footage shows the victim being hijacked after pulling into his driveway and attempting to punch in his access code.

CCTV footage of a white BMW being hijacked outside residential premises in Allen’s Nek has surfaced online.

According to dates on the footage, it happened on 14 March at 9.42pm. Reports suggest that the incident took place on Kudu Street.

The footage shows the victim being hijacked after pulling into his driveway and attempting to punch in his access code.

Not long after a black vehicle pulls up. Two men quickly jump out and approach the BMW in the driveway. One of the two pulls the driver from the car, while the other one jumps in and reverses it out into the road. The victim is held on the ground, but then the assailant lets him go and also jumps onto the victim’s car and speeds away. The victim is left in a state of disbelief and shock, and walks around the driveway with his hands on his head before pressing the intercom for help, or punching in his access code.

In a separate incident, Vitalmed responded to a motor vehicle accident on 18 March, which later turned out to be an attempted hijacking. Two suspects were arrested, according to the report.
