As she kept showing her dedication in each game, she was promoted to the UJ first team – after a mere few weeks playing for the university’s development team. The UJ team, made up of varsity students aged between 19 and 26, has recently made it to the finals of the Varsity Cup.

The UJ team plays in the Sasol League as well and Christy is now trying out for the South African National Squad development team.

The youngster has cherished a lot of moments in the game, such as meeting professional players at tournaments. She has met Keagan Dolly, the Bafana Bafana and French club Montpellier player after a successful tournament.
