‘Tis the season to be planting

RADIOKOP – Junior Colleges Snuggles get their hands dirty for Spring.

The children of Junior College Snuggles had a very flowery spring day as they planted their own flowers on the school’s property.

This in a bid to encourage the children to participate in the coming of spring by actively planting flowers in the garden and to instil a sense of ownership and responsibility, as they would have to care for and water the garden throughout the year. Additionally, it gave the children a sense of pride and confidence in their abilities.

This annual event was again well supported by parents and children. “It was a wonderful day and the children thoroughly enjoyed being part of it. The school looks so lovely with the added gardens. We are grateful to the parents for supporting this initiative,” said principal of the school, Megan Hunt.

The children continued to enjoy the day dressed up in colourful clothing while they picnicked in the gardens.
