Wanted for murder

SOPHIATOWN – A man is on the run after another man was shot three times at close range. Police are desperate to find the suspect.

Liam Goodman, a suspect wanted for murder, allegedly shot and killed Shannon Sampson on 10 November in Steytler Road, Newclare. A murder case has been opened at the Sophiatown Police Station, confirmed Warrant Officer, TJ de Bruyn.

According to Sampson’s sister, Samantha O’Shea, her brother was shot three times at close range. She further said that they saw video footage of the killing and that some witnesses are scared to come forward.

He is on the run and was recently seen at the Flora Flats in Eldorado Ext 2 and Irene Flats in Eldorado Park. “He used to work for Gems Medical Aid in Braamfontein and was last seen at work on 6 November as per his call-centre manager,” said O’Shea.

Warrant Officer, Mario Jones of Jhb central SAPS, investigating officer in this case, asked that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Goodman should contact the police.
