The new choir is the amalgamation of the ProCantare Choir and the Johannesburg German Choir.

It is preparing for its first combined concert under its new name at the Roodepoort Basement Theatre on 13 February.

The concert is set to have a Valentine’s theme which will include excerpts from Carmen and other beautiful musical works.
