Petrol prices decrease

JOBURG – Fuel prices drop again.

Good news for motorists as petrol price decreases on 4 November.

According to the Department of Energy, the main reasons for the decrease in fuel prices is the strengthening of the rand against the US dollar.

Based on current local and international factors, the fuel prices November 2015 in the South African market will be adjusted as follows:

1. Petrol (93 Octane) will decrease by 22 cents/litre

2. Petrol (95 Octane) will decrease by 22 cents/litre

3. Diesel (0.05 per cent Sulphur) will decrease by 9 cents/ litre

4. Diesel (0.005 per cent Sulphur) will decrease by 10 cents/ litre

5. Illuminating paraffin (SMNRP) will decrease by 3 cents/litre

6. Illuminating paraffin (wholesale) will decrease by 2 cents/litre

7. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will decrease by 47 cents/kilogram.

The Department of Energy urges motorists and all the households that use paraffin and LPGas to continue to use energy sparingly during these difficult economic conditions.

On 4 August, petrol prices dropped by 51 cents and diesel dropped by almost 76 cents.
