Many loving kitties waiting to be adopted at the SPCA

Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA encourages the community to come by and adopt a furry friend.

From a horrible hoarding situation comes a happily ever after.

The Roodepoort/ Krugersdorp SPCA confiscated almost a hundred cats from a nightmare hoarding situation in Muldersdrift earlier this year.

The SPCA investigation against the previous owner is still ongoing and updates will be made as soon as a court date is confirmed.

With the help of a local radio station and the community, the SPCA was able to build a brand new cattery to house the felines until they are adopted into their forever homes.

This very fluffy and friendly feline is available for adoption at the SPCA.

According to SPCA Inspector Annica Duffey, the construction of the new Alley Cat Alley cattery took two and a half months to complete.

She explained that many of the cats have been identified as lost pets through microchips and identification processes.

“While some of the cats succumbed to their illnesses, many more are still available for adoption. We urge the community to come and visit the SPCA and meet the cats in our care, they all deserve a loving home,” added Duffey.

This fur-baby is jumping at the opportunity to go to its forever home.

The SPCA would also like to appeal to the community for donations of cat toys, kitty litter, and cat food – especially kitten food and blankets for the winter.

The cats available for adoption at the SPCA are friendly, curious, and have a lot of love to give to their future owners. As the saying goes, adopt don’t shop.

With silky soft fur and a calm demeanor, this kitty-cat is patiently waiting for its new owners to come and adopt them.
