Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision on Hendrik Potgieter Road

A motorcyclist was left in critical condition after a collision on Tuesday evening, March 14

The accident occurred at the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and Jim Fouche Road when the motorcyclist collided with another vehicle shortly before 17:00. Paramedics arrived on the scene to find a male believed to be in his 40s in a critical condition.

First responders worked to stabilise the man but the severity of the man’s injuries required further emergency procedures. With the assistance of Netcare 911’s aeromedical helicopter, the motorcyclist was transported to a specialist facility for further care.
