Imagination and artistry help bring characters to life.

Embracing World Book Day, Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel allowed their learners to show off their tributes to the pages which bring them the most joy and inspiration. Celebrating literary and comic favourites, there were enough Spidermen and Ironmen to fill an Infinity War set while Cinderella and her Disney princess friends filled the school’s hallways.

A few of the classics made an appearance, most notably an Oompa Loompa from Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dr Seuss’s Cat in The Hat, and Astrid Lingren’s Pippi Longstocking.

The Curro staff and management did their best to outdo the learners, one grade’s teachers dressing as the animal ensemble from Alex Milne’s Winnie the Pooh and Executive Oriol Morgan and her team showing they never grow old, channeling the spirit of Neverland as the characters from James Barrie’s Peter Pan.
