Triple Threat introduces kids anti-bullying and kickboxing classes

“Instead of promoting violence against other children and bullies, our aim is to teach kids certain grappling moves to place themselves in a state of negotiation with the bully."

Being bullied is a very difficult experience for anyone, especially children, to deal with as it makes one feel afraid, degraded, and often worthless.

Bullying also makes you stop wanting to go out because you are scared you might cross paths with the person who is bullying you, and many children who are bullied even start asking themselves if they can do anything right.

Triple Threat Dojo based in Ruimsig is excited to introduce their new kids bully-proofing and kickboxing classes which are integrated with their kids programme.

The new kids programme will be running from the beginning of February on every Tuesday and Thursday at 15:00.

“Instead of promoting violence against other children and bullies, our aim is to teach kids certain grappling moves to place themselves in a state of negotiation with the bully. Kickboxing fosters discipline, and provides an outlet for frustration while also allowing a child to use the techniques learned to protect themselves in severe cases. Never be bullied into silence; don’t let your kids become a victim,” said gym owner and coach Wade Rendall.

Wade said the starting age is five or six years and older, and if a child is 15 and older they will be able to join the 16:00 class.

The gym is situated at 30 Peter Road, Tres Jolie AH in the Ruimsig area, and members of the community who would like to bring their kids for a trial class are advised to contact Wade on 083 328 4303.
